Is insurance a possibility?

Can massage treatments be covered through my insurance?
Can CHI Massage Therapy take auto insurance?

These are my top two questions. We will explain how they work as much as we can below. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions that were not mentioned. Once everything is set for treatments and you would like to book, go through my booking system and find the available times that will work for you. Since you are not paying out of pocket, it is not necessary to provide your payment information. If you are ok with that, great! Go ahead and book! This way you can reserve the appointment without someone else snagging it up before we get to it. Just understand the possibility of someone taking the spot between the time you see the availability and us getting around to booking you. The 24-hour policy will still be in effect for treatments covered by insurance. To avoid having a booked treatment as a completed treatment, please reschedule, cancel, or notify us at least 24 hours ahead of time.

Every insurance, we believe (not positive), has a plan that accepts massage therapy as a medically necessary treatment.

The only way to find out is to call your insurance and ask whether or not your plan accepts massage therapy.

If your insurance plan does in fact accept massage therapy, you will need someone who has the power to prescribe medication. Your primary care doctor, your chiropractor, your Doctor of Chinese Medicine, etc.

Have them prescribe you massage therapy, provide that to your insurance then they will send you something called a Vendor Packet, which will be filled out by both parties stating that CHI Massage Therapy will be your personal vendor. Once they send payment, treatments can be booked.

Insurance Plans

YES! We accept something called an LOP.

If you are going through an attorney, they will know exactly what this is and will take care of it for you. Just have them send it to us via email: healinginitiative@gmail.com

If you do not have an attorney representing you, no worries!! LOP stands for Letter of Protection. It basically says you promise to pay CHI Massage Therapy. We will have this document ready for you to sign before the first treatment or the day of the first treatment.

However, before that comes into play, a doctor (chiropractors, some physical therapists, physicians, etc) must prescribe you massage therapy. They may have suggested adding massage therapy to your treatment plan, or you may ask for massage as part of your treatment plan. However it is done, you must be prescribed massage therapy before we can do anything.

Once the prescription is prescribed and we have communicated on needed paperwork, we can proceed to schedule your treatments. An invoice will be sent with your medical records, when the treatments are over, to the insurance company (yours or the at-fault’s).
